- Check the dashboard’s Active App Block(s) card — both the Yuko Order Limit extension (app embed) and the Yuko Limits banner for product pages (product block) must show Enabled. See Installation & theme setup.
- Make sure the limit itself is Active in the Limits list, and that its notification setting isn’t Do not show any notification.
- If you recently switched themes, re-enable the app embed and re-add the block — theme extensions are per-theme.

The app auto-detects message placement for standard themes. On
customized themes, enable Use advanced selectors in
Settings → Cart Message Placement and point the app at your
theme’s cart container and item rows. See
Theme compatibility & selectors.
Customers can still check out even though limits aren't met

- Check Settings → Rule settings: if it’s set to Allows customer to purchase even if limits are not met, checkout stays open by design. Switch to the Blocks option to enforce.
- Open the limit in the editor — if an Enable Checkout Rule button appears at the top, the checkout validation for that limit type (e.g. Yuko Product Limit) is missing from your store. Click it to re-add the validation in Settings → Checkout → Checkout rules. Without it, messages show but checkout isn’t blocked.
- Enable Hide payment methods if limits are not met for stronger enforcement at checkout.
- Enable Hide express checkout if limits are not met on the Limits page so Buy-it-now buttons can’t bypass cart validation.

Tag-based rules only work for logged-in customers — Shopify can’t
resolve tags for guests. Ask the customer to sign in, or use an
untargeted limit as the baseline.

All active limits are enforced together — the cart must satisfy every
one. If a product is covered by overlapping rules (e.g. a product limit
and a collection limit), the strictest combination wins. Review the
Limits list and deactivate rules you don’t need.
Does the app work with my theme?
Does the app work with my theme?
The app works with all standard Shopify themes out of the box (Dawn,
Debut, Brooklyn, and most paid themes). Heavily customized themes may
need selector configuration — see
Theme compatibility & selectors,
or contact support and we’ll set it up for you.
