The Settings page controls how limits are enforced store-wide. These settings apply to all limits.

Rule settings

Choose what happens when a cart doesn’t meet your limits:
  • Allows customer to purchase even if limits are not met — the limit message is shown, but checkout stays open. Use this when limits are advisory.
  • Blocks customer from purchasing if limits are not met — checkout is blocked until the cart satisfies every active limit.

Hide payment methods if limits are not met

When enabled, payment methods are hidden at checkout while limits aren’t met — an extra layer of enforcement on top of the checkout validation.
There’s also a Hide express checkout toggle on the Limits page that hides dynamic checkout buttons (like Buy it now), preventing customers from skipping the cart entirely. See Scheduling & status.

Order Value Calculation

Choose whether shipping and taxes count toward value-based limits:
  • Without shipping & taxes — limits compare against the cart subtotal
  • With shipping & taxes — limits compare against the order total
This affects order limits and collection limits that use value conditions.

Cart Message Placement

The app automatically detects where to place limit messages in standard Shopify themes (Dawn, Debut, Brooklyn, and similar). If messages aren’t appearing correctly in a customized theme, enable Use advanced selectors (for complex / custom themes) — see Theme compatibility & selectors for how to find and set them.

Customers Email

The second tab on the Settings page manages email notifications to customers — see Customer email notifications.
