Shipping protection adds a small paid toggle to the cart — “Protect my order — $1.95”. Shoppers who enable it pay the fee with their order. Find it under Footer → Shipping protection.

How the charge works

The app creates a hidden Shopify product for the fee and keeps its price in sync with your settings automatically. The panel confirms with “Auto-managed dummy product (created)” after you enable the section and click Save.
Don’t edit or delete that hidden product in Shopify — the app manages it. Deleting it breaks the add-on until the next save recreates it.

Settings

Price it around 2–3% of your average order value and enable Toggle on by default. Opt-out keeps it fair — and most shoppers keep it.
Shipping protection is a support-unlocked section. If you see a padlock, click Request feature and we’ll enable it for your store.

Tracking revenue

Protection revenue and units sold have their own tiles on the Analytics page, so you can see exactly what this module earns.
