# Timer

> A countdown in the cart that creates urgency.

The **Timer** shows a countdown in the drawer — "Your cart is reserved
for 10:00 minutes" — nudging shoppers to finish checkout. Find it under
**Body → Timer**.

## Settings

* **Timer** — the duration in minutes
* **Text** — the message, with a **Countdown timer** shortcode that
  renders the ticking clock
* **Remove all cart items when timer ends** — optionally empty the cart
  on expiry
* **Styles** — background and number colors

<Warning>
  **Remove all cart items when timer ends** is aggressive: shoppers who
  stepped away lose everything they picked. Most stores do better using
  the timer as a visual nudge only — leave this off unless you're
  running genuinely limited reservations.

<Tip>
  Around 10–15 minutes reads as believable urgency. A 2-minute timer
  feels like pressure; a 60-minute timer isn't urgency at all.

  Timer is a support-unlocked section. If you see a padlock, click
