# Savings banner

> Show shoppers how much they're saving, calculated from compare-at prices.

The **Savings banner** shows shoppers the total they're saving — "You're
saving \$14!". Find it under **Body → Savings banner**.

## Settings

* **Text** — the message. Use the `{{savings}}` shortcode to insert the
  amount, calculated as compare-at price minus current price across the
  cart.
* **Styles** — background and text colors.

<Warning>
  The banner needs **compare-at prices** on your products to have
  anything to show. If your products don't use compare-at prices, leave
  this section off.

<Tip>
  Pair it with **Use product compare-at price** in
  [General settings](/cart-drawer/cart/general-settings) so cart rows
  show the strikethrough prices that explain the number.
