# Announcement bar

> A slim message strip at the top of the cart body.

The **Announcement bar** is a slim colored strip for one short message —
"Free returns for 30 days" or "Order by 2pm for same-day dispatch". Find
it under **Body → Announcement bar**.

## Settings

* **Text** — the message (required when the section is on)
* **Styles** — background and text colors

<Tip>
  Use it for one message at a time. A rotating wall of promises reads as
  noise; one clear reassurance reads as a policy.
</Tip>

<Note>
  This is a support-unlocked section. If you see a padlock, click
  **Request feature** — the support chat opens with a pre-filled message
  and we'll enable it for your store, usually the same day.
</Note>

## Good uses

* Shipping cutoffs during holidays: "Order by Dec 18 for Christmas delivery"
* Policy reassurance: "Free returns for 30 days"
* Sale reminders: "SUMMER SALE — up to 40% off"
